About the hotel

Set on Belgiëlei in Antwerp's Haringrode neighbourhood, Boulevard Leopold occupies a late 19th-century townhouse dating from 1890. The guesthouse lies between the historic centre and Zurenborg, with the Diamond District, De Koninck Brewery, PAKT, Antwerp Zoo, and Central Station all within walking distance or a short tram journey.

Rather than following the structure of a conventional hotel, Boulevard Leopold offers an intimate residential experience shaped around discretion, comfort, and the character of the original house. Its owners describe the concept through simplicity, romance, and "forgotten glory", preserving the personality accumulated over more than a century while adapting the building to contemporary stays.

There are just five individually presented rooms and suites spread across four floors: three guest rooms, the Master Suite, and the Rooftop Suite. Accommodation ranges from the 26 m² Room #2 to the 94 m² Master Suite, whose entire first-floor layout includes a 42 m² living room with gas fireplace and an original tiled bathroom dating from 1912. The 66 m² Rooftop Suite adds a sitting room, mezzanine bedroom, and private terrace.

Mornings can begin with breakfast in the property's Orangerie, where a traditional spread includes fresh fruit, breads and croissants, yoghurt, cereals, cheese, ham, eggs, coffee, tea, and fresh orange juice. The surrounding neighbourhood is also an important part of the stay, with the guesthouse specifically highlighting PAKT, De Koninck City Brewery, and the Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture of Zurenborg and Cogels-Osylei. BOULEVARD LEOPOLD ROOMS & SUITES

Today, Boulevard Leopold is particularly well suited to couples, design-conscious travellers, architecture enthusiasts, and visitors who favour distinctive independent accommodation over larger city hotels. Its small scale, period interiors, residential setting, and proximity to some of Antwerp's most characterful neighbourhoods give the property a noticeably personal sense of place.

Creator experience

“Boulevard Leopold felt like stepping into another era, with beautifully designed rooms and thoughtful details giving the entire stay such a unique character. What made the experience even more memorable was Martin's genuine warmth and hospitality, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Starting each morning with fresh coffee, warm croissants, eggs, and a delicious breakfast made this charming Antwerp stay one we would absolutely love to experience again.”
