About the hotel

Set in Forte dei Marmi on Tuscany's Versilia coast, Villa Costanza occupies a central yet relatively quiet position between the beach and the town's boutiques, restaurants and tree-lined streets. The sea can be reached on foot or by bicycle, while the Apuan Alps form the dramatic inland backdrop that defines this part of northern Tuscany.

The hotel grew from Laura and Gian Luca's idea of creating a small property with the atmosphere of a private residence. Rather than introducing an entirely new building, Villa Costanza was developed through the restoration of a historic structure, preserving its relationship with Forte dei Marmi while adapting it to contemporary hospitality.

Accommodation is limited to 16 rooms and suites, ranging from Superior rooms to larger terrace suites with partial sea views. Michele Vitaloni & Partners led the architectural and interior design, using Carrara marble, Canaletto walnut, brass, warm white tones and recurring Tiffany-blue details. Balconies and terraces appear across several categories, with views extending towards the sea or Apuan Alps.

One of the property's most distinctive elements is its relationship with Bagno Felice II, the hotel's private beach club a few minutes away. Beach service is included with the room categories currently published by the hotel, while spacious beach tents, changing cabins and a seaside restaurant extend the experience beyond the hotel itself. Back at Villa Costanza, La Maison Bistrot interprets Mediterranean cooking through seasonal ingredients and a contemporary approach.

Today, Villa Costanza is particularly well suited to couples, design-conscious travellers and guests looking for a smaller alternative to Forte dei Marmi's larger luxury hotels. Its intimate room count, restored architecture, dedicated beach facilities and central setting make it practical for experiencing the town on foot while also using the property as a base for the wider Versilia coast and northern Tuscany.

Creator experience

“Villa Costanza felt like a peaceful escape into the heart of Tuscany. I loved the sense of privacy and calm surrounding the property, with beautiful outdoor spaces and the Tuscan landscape creating the perfect setting to slow down. The intimate atmosphere, elegant design, and thoughtful hospitality made every moment feel personal, offering a relaxing stay that captured the charm and simplicity of the Italian countryside.”
