Perched on a hill above Selong Belanak on Lombok's south coast, Seven Havens overlooks a landscape where the Indian Ocean, white-sand beach, rice paddies, islands, and rolling hills meet. Selong Belanak Beach is within walking distance, while Lombok International Airport is around 30-45 minutes away, giving the property a secluded atmosphere without leaving southern Lombok difficult to explore.

The property grew from its owners' first visit to Lombok in 2007 and their desire to create a small tropical retreat that responded directly to its surroundings. Indonesian architect Budi Pradono designed the residence using rammed earth, recycled teak and Ulin wood, bamboo, and repurposed shipping containers, creating an unconventional structure shaped around sustainability and the dramatic hillside setting.

Accommodation is intentionally limited and individually designed. The main residence contains the Haven of Serenity, Haven of Tranquility, and Heavenly Haven, while the secluded Valley View Haven and Cliff Haven provide larger villa-style stays. The entire three-bedroom Residence can also be reserved privately, with accommodation ranging from intimate ocean-view rooms to a 118 m² villa with its own swimming pool.

The experience centres on the landscape itself. Guests can spend time around the panoramic outdoor pool, enjoy breakfast or meals overlooking the surrounding hills, walk or take the property's local shuttle towards Selong Belanak Beach, and explore nearby surf breaks. The restaurant serves Indonesian, Asian, and international dishes, with vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, and dairy-free options available.

Today, Seven Havens is particularly well suited to couples, friends, and travellers seeking a quiet boutique stay where distinctive architecture, expansive views, privacy, and access to Lombok's southern beaches take precedence over the scale and formality of a conventional resort.
