Set on a natural balcony above Ushuaia, Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa occupies a privileged position inside the Cerro Alarkén Natural Reserve, overlooking the city, Beagle Channel and the mountains of Tierra del Fuego. More than 100 hectares of protected native forest surround the property, yet downtown Ushuaia and its harbour remain around 12 minutes away by car.

Its architecture was developed around sustainable construction principles and materials connected to the region. A large copper roof gradually changes colour within the landscape, while stone extracted during construction was reused across the façade. Recovered lenga and ñire timber, old oak, natural stone and extensive glazing continue through the interiors, where guestrooms face either the Beagle Channel or the Andorra Valley and surrounding mountains.

Wellness and nature define much of the experience. The spa contains more than 300 m² of heated water areas supplied from rainfall and glacial melt, with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, sauna facilities and treatments overlooking Ushuaia. La Cravia Restaurant adds a gastronomic connection to Tierra del Fuego through Argentine cooking, lamb, black hake, seafood and king crab, while the surrounding reserve provides trekking, wildlife observation and horseback riding directly from the resort.

Today, Arakur is particularly well suited to couples, families, wellness travellers, hikers and guests using Ushuaia as a base for exploring Tierra del Fuego.
