Park Hotel Tokyo
★★★★☆
Art Hotel
Tokyo, Japan
A high-rise Shiodome art hotel with artist-designed rooms, 400+ works, Tokyo skyline views, Japanese dining, and immersive cultural experiences.
About the hotel
Set high above Shiodome in central Tokyo, Park Hotel Tokyo occupies floors 25 to 34 of the Shiodome Media Tower, with panoramic views extending across the city towards Tokyo Tower and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Shiodome Station is directly beside the building, while Shimbashi, Hamarikyu Gardens and Ginza are all within walking distance, making the hotel particularly well positioned for exploring central Tokyo.
Opened in 2003, the hotel gradually developed an identity centred on contemporary Japanese art and the idea of experiencing Japanese aesthetics through hospitality. More than 400 works are displayed throughout the property, from the entrance and 25th-floor atrium to dedicated Corridor Galleries across every guest floor. The collection is not treated as static decoration, with exhibitions, installations and cultural programmes changing throughout the year.
The hotel contains 268 rooms across floors 26 to 34, ranging from compact Single, Queen and Twin categories to Deluxe rooms and the 80 m² Park Suite. Its most distinctive accommodation is the Artist Room collection, where individual artists have transformed entire guestrooms by painting directly onto walls and ceilings. Large windows, high floors and views towards Tokyo Tower or the surrounding skyline remain defining architectural features throughout the accommodation.
Art extends into almost every aspect of the stay. Guests can wander through the Corridor Galleries, join a contemporary table-style tea ceremony, participate in painting and wine workshops or spend time in exhibitions spread across the atrium and guest floors. Dining follows a similar approach, from Japanese cuisine at Hanasanshou to the museum-like surroundings of ART colours Dining, while THANN Sanctuary introduces a quieter wellness element through aromatherapy-based treatments.
Today, Park Hotel Tokyo is particularly well suited to couples, art and design enthusiasts, cultural travellers and city-break guests looking for something more individual than a conventional high-rise hotel. Its combination of extensive contemporary art, skyline views, Japanese cultural programming and direct transport connections gives it a distinctive identity while remaining highly practical for exploring Tokyo.

Creator experience
“Park Hotel Tokyo felt like experiencing the city through art. I loved how creativity was present throughout the hotel, from the artist-designed rooms to the unique artworks around the property. Combined with the incredible views across Tokyo and the peaceful atmosphere high above the city, the stay offered a refreshing contrast to the energy outside. It was a unique experience that brought together Japanese creativity, comfort, and an unforgettable perspective of Tokyo.”
